Hello and Happy December!
We have been busy with Advent activities and starting to prepare for Christmas.
On Monday, we celebrated the beginning of Advent in a liturgy with the whole school through google meet. We look forward to celebrating the Word of God together in our upcoming Advent liturgies on the next two following Monday mornings.
Your children are ROCK STARS! We have been working diligently to have the children wash and sanitize their hands frequently and they are doing an amazing job! They are also doing a great job of wearing their masks in class.
We aren’t able to hold a regular Christmas concert this year, but we’ve been working on a little something to share with just the families of our classroom. We have been preparing a little performance that we will be recording on video before we go on Christmas break. If you would prefer that your child not be in this video, please let me know (via email or phone) and we will have them continue to practice with us, but sit out when we record the performance.
Many of our children are still struggling with putting on their outdoor clothing for recess three times a day. Please encourage their independence at home by having them dress themselves. We’ve been practicing the order: snow pants, boots, coat (zipped up), hat and mittens. When we have to spend so much extra time getting dressed, it takes away time from in the classroom and out in the playground.
December is the month for LOTS of pyjama days! We invite the children to wear their pyjamas to school (if they wish) every Friday this month. School days are always more fun in your pjs! Please leave stuffed toys safe at home.
Pita Pit Lunches
Just a quick reminder that if you placed a Pita Pit Lunch order for your child, the first lunch date is December 1st.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
We would like to wish you and your families a safe and happy Christmas holiday and a Happy New Year!
